Rose is one of the most complex essential oils known. It contains more than 300 chemical compounds, of which the greater part is still unidentified. The comparison between the Rose Otto and Rose Absolute is clearly seen in the content of phenyl ethyl alcohol which is almost negligible in the Rose Otto.
